Unlike most trails that require a long drive and trek through thick jungle, this ridge walk is located in the center of Ubud and has a paved path that takes you through beautiful valleys and charming local villages. It’s best to start your walk early at sunrise to avoid crowds and the heat.
  7. The Infinity Pool at Hanging Garden of Bali, Ubud – Hanging Gardens of Bali is a world-renowned resort that boasts the most spectacular swimming pool on the planet, earning the title multiple times. This infinity pool is situated at a height above the tree canopies, and appears to defy the laws of physics with water spilling down multiple levels. If you want to experience something similar, you can head towards the east where you’ll find a three-story infinity pool at Wanna Jungle Pool & Bar, inspired by the Tegallalang Rice Terraces. Alternatively, you can travel south to Uluwatu, where you can take a dip in the nerve-wracking glass-bottom cliffhanger at Oneeighty cliff-club.

The Alas Harum is the most well-known swing located at the Tegallalang Rice Terraces, but other swings are now being set up in various locations throughout Ubud and Bali. Even though queues and photo shoots are a daily occurrence, the experience of swinging high above the treetops makes it worth the effort of dealing with the tourist crowds.

The Tegallalang Rice Terraces in Ubud are some of the most renowned and equally stunning, with their gorgeous valleys of rice fields that resemble stairs, spanning for miles, and dotted by diligent farmers tending to their precious crops. However, it can get quite crowded there, so if you want to avoid the tourist hordes, Jatiluwih is a better alternative. It is a pristine, green horizon located in the Tabanan Regency that transforms into golden hues during sunset.

One of the most impressive lakes on the island is Danau Beratan, located in Bedugul. It is the second largest lake on the island and is surrounded by Mount Beratan and Mount Catur. The Pura Ulun Danu Beratan temple, located in the middle of the lake, is the highlight of this destination. The gardens provide stunning views of the Bratan crater, and you can even buy freshly picked strawberries from local vendors. 18. The Grazing Wildlife In The Best West Bali National Park, Buleleng – Escape the crowds of South Bali and venture north to Taman Nasional Bali Barat, also known as the West Bali National Park. This vast area spans 77,000 hectares of pristine nature and is a habitat for various plant and animal species. Take a walk in the park and you’ll be surrounded by stunning scenery of mountains, forests, and mangroves. Keep an eye out for the indigenous Jalak Bali birds too. You can also visit Menjangan Island nearby, where you can dive and explore the colorful corals and maybe even spot Nemo.
  19. The View Over Kelingking Beach, Nusa Penida – Undoubtedly, Bali is renowned for its stunning beaches that offer crystal-clear water and pristine white sands. However, one particular beach, Kelingking Beach, has gained worldwide recognition due to its breathtaking beauty. Everyone has seen that iconic view from above of the emerald green cliffs ascending from the turquoise waters below. This Insta-famous destination is situated on Nusa Penida, which is just a 40-minute boat ride from Bali’s mainland and adjacent to Nusa Lembongan. It is recommended to visit Kelingking Beach to capture that essential photograph, but it is also worth exploring the rest of the island.

  25. The Bukit’s Secluded Beaches and Dramatic Cliff, Uluwatu – Visiting Bali and not spending time on the beach is like missing out on the most important part of the experience. But, for those looking for an off-the-beaten-path experience, finding secluded bays can really up your Instagram game. For instance, Suluban Beach is located right under the famous Single Fin bar and is the main entrance to the world-famous Uluwatu surf break. However, during low tide, Suluban Beach transforms into a hidden gem that offers the perfect spot for a secret swim. The turquoise water is set against the dramatic cliffs, making it an ideal location for taking amazing photos. To get there, you’ll have to walk down the stairs at Uluwatu, go through the caves, and make your way onto the sand. But remember, it’s only accessible during low tide, so be sure to check the tide times and pack your swimsuit.
  26. The Abandoned Aircraft on The Clifftops, Pecatu – It’s hard to find any other place except Bali where you can see abandoned airplanes perched right on the cliff’s edge. The plane was abandoned in Pandawa village and was later relocated to its current spot in 2021.
